Meghan Markle And Kate Middleton Just Came Together To Completely Squash That Feud Rumor

Well, that's one feud successfully quashed.

Royal fans have fashion to thank for the symbolic show of solidarity between the two Duchesses—but how did rumors about the two's animosity start, anyway?

Here's a breakdown of all the royal tea, complete with fine china.

Things actually started fine.

Despite tabloid rumors, it appeared that the two got along quite well.

Meghan and Kate met for the first time a few days after Kate's birthday in 2017. Meghan reportedly gifted her a dream journal, which is adorable.

And Meghan apparently helped Kate through her pregnancy.

According to New Idea, a source close to the royals referred to Meghan as Kate's "secret weapon" for morning sickness.

I don't know how a human being could be a secret weapon for morning sickness. But if it's going to be anyone...it would probably be Meghan, let's be real.

Harry had to tell William off, though.

Or so it was said.

Apparently, Harry had to pull William aside and tell him to be warmer to Kate when she attended Christmas Morning Service with the royal family.

Okay, so that's the first sign.

Fast forward a little.

Just prior to the feud rumors kicking into high gear, Kate and Meghan attended Wimbeldon together.

They looked thick as thieves, and it was reported that they were absolutely great friends.

But the rift actually started with their spouses.

First came the separation of William and Harry's working offices.

Where once they had shared an office, aka Kensington palace, the two decided to split their personal and working lives up.

And then came the move.

Following on the heels of the men separating, Meghan and Harry decided to leave Kensington Palace altogether.

They relocated to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, where they currently reside with baby Archie.

The rumors got so bad that the palace had to comment on it.

Yeah, seriously.

A huge rumor that emerged was that Meghan was rude to Kate's staff at Kensington Palace.

The Palace had to clarify that Meghan did not berate the staff, and Kate did not scold Meghan because of it.

And new reports began to emerge.

Two different sources claimed that Kate actually cried during a bridesmaid fitting for Princess Charlotte prior to the wedding of Meghan and Harry.

Seems to me that all of these reports are striving to paint Meghan in a bad light. Wonder why that is...

And that's not to mention the nasty cheating rumors.

Amid the apparent falling out between the two previously close friends, rumors began emerging of infidelity in William and Kate's marriage.

He allegedly cheated on her with Rose Hanbury.

However, it's my responsibility as a journalist to remind you that those rumors are entirely unconfirmed.

Gossiping about offices and fashion is one thing — cheating is quite another.

Fast forward to Trooping the Colour 2019.

The annual celebration of the Queen's birthday saw the whole family out.

Most notably, this was the first true public event that Meghan attended after the birth of Archie. So naturally, all eyes were on her.

The royal family tends to use Trooping the Colour to send fashion messages.

Don't believe me? Check out the throwback looks they decided to go with for 2019.

For the boys, Princes George and Louis were dressed in the exact same outfits that William and Harry wore to the 1984 Trooping the Colour.

Check out this shot.

Note the fascinator that Kate is sporting. Pale yellow, with a large flower that compliments her outfit.

This color and headpiece choice is important and familiar for a reason: she wore both before, at a very important date.

Like, oh, a royal wedding.

Now, let's throw it back to the wedding of Meghan and Harry.

That sure looks like the exact some fascinator, doesn't it?

It would be a very odd choice for Kate to wear that if it reminded her of the wedding of someone she apparently doesn't like.

No, I'm not crazy.

"This is such a reach," you say, rolling your eyes.

To which I say: um, hello, we literally just established that Kate sends signals with the reuse of certain items of clothing.

Fashion has always been used to communicate certain things, after all.

It's a subtle way to send messages and evoke certain feelings in royal watchers.

If the palace didn't want to subtly promote a bond between the two, Kate would not have chosen a piece that reminded her of Meghan.

And that's that on that.
