Who wouldn't want to have their picture taken with Jason Momoa? He seems to have a fun personality, he's savage looking, he's a pop culture legend by this point in his career, and it's just a memorable photo.
And as you can see in the photo above, it's usually the ladies who want to get the hug. And the guys get the shove.
During a recent appearance on Graham Norton in the UK, Momoa ran through some of the photos he has taken over the years, explaining how the situation usually plays out:
“Well, a married couple comes up and they wanna take a picture, and then generally it’s the woman who wants to get the hug and they want me to push their husband away or like kick him in the face. So I do it. But sometimes it’s the man.”
But for this particular photo, posted by TwoForJoy on Imgur, we find out that it was actually the boyfriend's idea to pose that way in the photo:
I'm not going to spend a bunch of money on a picture I'm not even in! This was my solution.
And to add to it, Momoa's signature is right over the boyfriend's face.
Another that pops up during the interview is a photo where Momoa hugs a woman who is still holding hands with her boyfriend. All while the boyfriend looks confused. There are two others included too, but we don't want to ruin that surprise.
He even gets a chance to recreate the photo with fellow celebs Bill Bailey and Darcey Bussell.
Momoa, 39, portrays Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe, and appeared in the 2016 movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The next year, he played in Justice League, and this year appeared in the solo movie Aquaman.
Momoa portrayed Khal Drogo from 2011 to 2012 in _Game of Thrones_. To get an idea of Momoa's magnitude, his character,
Drogo, has never been defeated in battle, and demanded Magister Illyrio Mopatis of Pentos to help him find the most desirable woman in the world. Apparently, judging by the photos on the Graham Norton Show, that magnetism translates into real life.
Here's someone else who's excited to be seen with Momoa: the world-famous Julia Roberts. Momoa recently posted a picture on his Instagram of himself with a surprised-looking Roberts from their appearance on the Late Late Show With James Corden. “Took me MA to see James Corden. Meet the legend Julia Roberts. The momoaz geeked out a lil. Aloha j," he wrote.
Aquaman is set for release on Dec. 21, so Momoa is running the press circuit ahead of the movie's appearance in theaters.
