The Internet Can’t Figure Out If This Animal Is A Cow Or A Dog

Without people taking pictures of their pets, the landscape of the internet would be completely different. In place of cat and dog memes, we would just have... useful information and the like! Shudders.
However, one person's pet picture has the internet in an uproar.
While pet pictures make up a substantial portion of the internet, there is also a hefty portion of the internet reserved for the weirder pictures out there, and this image sits perfectly between the two.
So, prepare yourself.
This is the mystery pet in question.

The strange-looking creature had people wondering if someone had found and taken in an abandoned farmyard animal, or perhaps found some kind of hybrid experiment.
The image was shared to Twitter, which only helped share the confusion caused by this brain-melting image.
I don't know about you, but after staring at this picture for too long, I started to forget what a cow or a dog were, and simply allowed myself to live in this bizarre realm of existence where the two have merged into one animal — a cog.
Truly stunning.
Some people were initially less than enthused by the presence of the animal on the internet.
As seen above, some quite incensed comments came in the form of, "OMFG...I was like KILL IT, then...oh what a cutie!"
Suffice it to say, people were definitely experiencing some mixed emotions on this one.
However, amongst the less dramatic Twitter users, most people assumed that it was a goat — or something akin to a goat
"I can't see what everyone can see," this person wrote. "It's definitely a goat monster type thing".
Another user chimed in to add, "I still don't see what it is other than a demented horsey goaty beasty dog."
No matter how long some people stared at the image for, the beast evaded comprehension.
There were even people who claimed that once they had managed to figure out the mysterious beast, they still struggled to see the picture clearly.
As this person explained, "The weird thing is once you get it and you look at it again you go back to square one!!"
And, as always with the internet, there were a few people who took the slightly dramatic angle when presented with the farmyard chimera.
Like, for instance, this personally insulted user who wrote "What the hell is this... Kill it before it lays eggs please!"
Or this person who added, "Jeeeez...at first glance I thought it was a piglet with its throat cut."
Eventually, someone posted a picture with the reality of the animal exposed!
Yes, the animal turned out to be a dog with its body contorted in a truly bizarre manner! However, even once the public had their answer, they were still concerned about the doggo.
"You really should read the instructions before assembling the next DÖG you buy from Ikea," one person wrote.
