McDonald's Has Wedding Packages So You Can Ditch 'I Do' And Say 'I'm Lovin' It'

Every couple has their own idea of what makes the "perfect wedding".

For some, this might mean dazzling their guests with an elaborate, seemingly budget-free display of love and happiness with some sort of extravagant theme to make the day extra interesting.

For others, their wedding could be a more subdued, low-key affair with modest decorations and a comfortable budget to keep the party going without breaking the bank in the process.

And then there are those who really want people to remember their wedding, so they decide to tie the knot inside their local McDonald's and celebrate their love while chowing down on Big Macs and McNuggets.

If you didn't know you could actually get married inside a McDonald's, don't worry; you're not the only one.

According to Bored Panda, this has been a real thing in Hong Kong for a while now, and it actually makes for a super budget-friendly event, if you're worried about your nuptials hurting the ol' wallet.

There are four different wedding packages for the happy couple to choose from, ranging in price from about $385 to $1,284 USD.

If you want to keep your ceremony on the lower end, opt for the Happiness Party where you get the whole McDonald's to yourself for two hours.

You'll also be provided with basic audio equipment and a Master of Ceremonies for your event, plus some pretty sweet McDonald's swag for you to hand out to your guests afterwards.

If you're prepared to spend a bit more cash, why not splurge on the deluxe Love Forever Party?

You still get the two-hour venue, MC, and equipment, but your wedding will also be provided with two McDonald's balloon wedding rings, a balloon bridal bouquet, romantic roses balloon arch, a heart-shaped balloon set, and a "love" balloon table runner.

So basically, lots and lots and lots of balloons. Oh, and a beautifully tiered apple pie wedding cake.

YouTuber Safiya Nygaard and her fiance, Tyler Williams, recently took a trip to Hong Kong and decided to give the whole "McDonald's Wedding" thing a try.

The happy couple documented their marital adventure in a video on Nygaard's YouTube channel, in which they emphasize that this isn't actually her "real wedding", although it definitely plays the part well.

The pair chose the plush deluxe Love Forever Party for their big day.

In the 22-minute long video, we can watch as they exchange comically over-sized balloon rings, share in their tiered apple pie cake, and even play some ceremonial games with their guests, thanks to their fun-loving MC.

Since it was posted on September 29, nearly 6 million people have clicked in to watch Nygaard and Williams say "I do" inside the fast-food location before tucking into some Big Macs with their friends and family.

Although their McDonald's wedding wasn't technically real, their love and enjoyment definitely was.

Sure, Nygaard will probably prefer to say "I do" in a more traditional setting. But if she decides she wants to keep the good times going and bring a little more McMagic to her big day, she'll be happy to know the fast-food giant also offers engagement, anniversary, and bridal shower parties.

According to company spokesperson Jessica Lee, the fast food giant realized they could help spread love through their elaborate parties.

"We started the program because many customers tell us that McDonald's is where they first started dating... were their love stories grew," she told CNBC.

She added, "This connection is exactly why they want to hold their wedding parties and even anniversary parties at McDonald's — to relive sweet beginnings and bring their romantic story full circle."
