There have been a lot of artists tackling "real life Disney characters".

But the ones done by Instagram artist Fernanda Suarez are particularly interesting because they're stunningly lifelike.

We've got all sorts of characters for you today, villains, princesses, heroes, you name it!

1. Snow White

Gone are the pale face and the beady eyes of the 1937 classic, and instead we're given a much more modern take on the character, down to the shoulderless dress she's wearing.

2. Belle

Yes! Believe it or not this is Belle!

All the signs are there: she's got the Rose patch on her shoulder, she's reading a book, her hair is wild and messy like her character.

3. Ariel

This Ariel takes the form of a raver girl, or at least that's the vibe I'm getting.

I can picture her at Coachella in that outfit, telling everyone she has a crab tattoo because she's a cancer.

4. Jasmine

It seems that Rajah has been scaled down considerably for this picture, probably to make it more realistic.

Then again, if she lived in the States she could probably own a tiger.

5. Mulan

Much like the others, Mulan gets her own scaled back, more modern approach in this pic.

Like the new live-action movie, Mushu isn't real but just a picture on her shirt.

6. Pocahontas

It seems that Pocahontas is remaining close to her true "colors of the wind" with this outfit.

Seriously, lose that sleeve on the left arm and it's pretty much identical to the original.

7. Cinderella

This updated and realistic version of Cinderella comes with one of those books you can write all your wishes in.

Not quite the same as a Fairy Godmother, but much more realistic.

8. Aurora

This one gets a purse, and a jacket was thrown over her shoulder.

No mention of the spinning wheel here, but we do see the forest of thorns behind her.

9. Nala

Well, it looks like we're turning animal characters into humans now as well!

I love it when artists do this, I especially love how she has little tufts of hair to simulate ears.

10. Merida

Also pretty close to the original, if you ask me.

Right down to the bow around her neck. Sure, it's a necklace in this version, but she could be on her college archery team.

11. Tiana

This one strays a little bit further from the original than the others, but there are still little details that allude to her character.

The lilypad earings and the frog belt buckle are the ones I noticed.

12. Rapunzel

I love what Fernanda Suarez did with Rapunzel here.

The sun necklace which goes perfectly with those lanterns they send out every year and those overalls shows how much she loves painting.

13. Alice

I feel like whenever Alice is portrayed outside of Disney, she's always pissed off.

Anyways, love the little "Mad Hatter Tea" touch she did for this one. Very cool, very modern.

14. Megara

Loving this one. It has a sort of ancient Greek motif to it, but I can totally see her wearing this to a fine modern art gala.

Or just a classy club.

15. Jane

And finally, we have Jane, who looks very similar to how she did in the movie.

For this pic, they ditched the sleeves, however, but kept most everything else the same.

16. Cruella De Vil

Does she remind anyone else of Angelina Jolie?

Hey, maybe when she's done with Maleficent, she can do a movie where we find out that the attempted puppy murderer was also misunderstood.
