These Intricate Embroideries Are Absolutely Stunning

I'm always amazed by people who have turned their hobby into a life-long passion, especially when they clearly have a true talent for it. That's exactly what Chloe Giordano, an embroiderer, and illustrator from Oxford, England is doing.

She's already becoming famous for her intricate and delicate embroidered animals that are so realistic you won't believe your eyes. Now see for yourself.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe this isn't a photograph.

This looks almost animated to me. It's like the animal is about to jump off of this piece.

This is how the process begins.

This is called "needle painting" and I think the name is quite appropriate because it truly does resemble a real painting to me.

Her work is so intricate that it actually has a sense of eternal stillness.

And as it turns out it's because she often uses dead animals as inspiration.

In her own words, she explains why she is moved by the deceased animals:

“I find the sadness combined with how peaceful they often look endlessly interesting.” Wow.

I must say, I find her work so fascinating. She is a pure artist.

To do what she is capable to do with a needlepoint is truly remarkable.

Chloe uses a wide array of colored threads and even several needles with different threads at a single time.

That way, she's able to blend colors and “paint” with strings.

She began to sew in the last year of her illustration degree at the University of the West of England.

She uses freehand for her designs and dyes her own fabrics.

Chloe is originally from Buckinghamshire but now lives and works in York.

She has since worked with a variety of clients such as Penguin, Vintage Books, Bloomsbury, Liberty, and others.

She even has a new book coming out, "The Embroidered Art of Chloe Giordano".

It will be available in September 2019. You can already pre-order it on various sites like Amazon.

I have to admit I'm in awe of this talented lady.

She seems like a person who puts all her heart and soul into her work and it shows.

Chloe also contributed her work to a book called "Read To Your Baby Every Day" which entailed more than 30 embroideries.

It's a collection of nursery rhymes you can read to your children.

For someone like me who's never attempted embroidery, this looks quite hard when I look at the detail.

But I bet for Chloe, it's a piece of cake.

One of my favorite books I read as a kid was a story of a young deer that was lost in the woods alone so this piece is just precious.

How adorable is this?

Are you just as impressed with this young woman as I am?

I've never seen intricate embroidery work quite like this before. I would love to see her in action.
