'John Wick Chapter 3' Dogs Were Too Busy Chasing Cats To Film

John Wick Chapter 3 was a major box office hit, and Keanu Reeves has been trending ever since.

The best things about these movies were the dogs (yes it's true, don't fight me), and in Chapter 3, there was a big problem with the pups.

So 'John Wick' is about a guy who loves dogs.

Sure, there's some other stuff that happens but that's basically the most important part.

Plus, let us be honest: Any movie is made better with the presence of dogs.

Summit Entertainment

Except if they die.

Did anyone else skip the part where Wick's dog died?

So we definitely wouldn't say no to new dogs in one of our favorite franchises.

Summit Entertainment

Which, thankfully, is what John Wick Chapter 3 brought to us!

While we were used to the puppies we saw in the first two films, we got introduced to some new ones in 'Chapter 3'.

Summit Entertainment

They were Halle Berry's German Shepherds!

On the 'John Wick: Chapter 3' Blu-ray bonus features, there was one interesting detail about the pups!

Summit Entertainment

Halle Berry learned how to train the dogs so that no one but her could command them.

Which is quite honestly amazing.

Summit Entertainment

Imagine having that kind of power over dogs?

That literally no one else but you could command them?

But when they filmed in North Africa, she had a whole new problem.

There were a lot of cats around, and unfortunately, that created a huge but hilarious issue.

Here's what Halle Berry had to say:

Summit Entertainment

"There's cats everywhere and when my dogs saw cats they went ballistic. We'd be in the middle of a scene and all of the sudden, a cat would come strolling by and off goes the dog."

She continued with:

Summit Entertainment

"Because at the end of the day they're animals and nature says, you know, go get that cat."

So apparently, no matter how well-trained they are by Halle Berry, the dogs do have one master even more powerful than Berry.

Summit Entertainment

And that is instinct.

They'll always want to chase cats.

What was your favorite part of the movie?

Mine was definitely every single scene with a dog.
