Man Locks Up Chocolate In Fridge Safe And His Fiance's Not Happy About It

mason.zimmer 18 Sep 2019

As I've gotten older, I've become more aware that there's an etiquette to deciding what's up for grabs in a shared fridge. While I may have just taken what I want when I needed a midnight snack in my younger days, it became a lot harder to justify that once someone else ate something I was looking forward to.

So if there's any ambiguity as to whether something in there is intended for me or not, I try to fight the temptation and resolve that question during the next day.

And it seems I adopted this policy not a moment too soon because the case of one British couple shows how easily fridge sharing can get out of hand.

Stacey Lowe has made it clear that she and her fiancé Dave share a lot together.

Over the past few months, they've bought a house together and started raising a child. They're also in the midst of planning their wedding.

What Stacey has recently discovered, however, is that there's one thing Dave refuses to share: his Chocolate.

And based on Stacey's Facebook post about it, Dave's decision to solidify that attitude with a fridge safe came as a very annoying surprise.

She began her epic rant by saying, "So this is what it has come too!"

She went on to say, "Dave goes and buys a f*in fridge safe because he's an arsehole and doesn't want to share his chocolate with me anymore!"

She then cheekily added, "Anyone want him? Surely this is breakup material right?!"

She also informed her curious followers that he got it from a company called Lockabox. Apparently, a lot of frustrated roommates figured Dave was onto something.

And considering that the safe is perfectly see-through, it would seem that showing hungry thieves exactly what they can't have is a big part of its appeal.

After all, it's not like it's usually a good idea to show regular thieves whether the valuables inside are worth trying to crack a safe over.

Although Stacey was definitely unimpressed by Dave's chocolate lockdown, she pledged to get a safe of her own. As she said, "Now two can play that game!"
