In the last episode's closing moments, Tommy went o go see Jimmy McCavern so they could discuss the North and South tracks.
When Jimmy asked who would be in charge, Tommy said Alfie!

"Well, I would suggest the most competent organiser of men in the south is Alfie Solomons," said Tommy.
And then Jimmy replied:

"He's dead and he's Jewish, and I'd say as far as our boss is concerned, him being dead would be less of an obstacle than him being Jewish."
Tommy didn't say anything, but he SMIRKED.
