Six Senior Citizens Arrested For Having Sex In Public Conservation Area

Six senior citizens were arrested last week for allegedly engaging in sexual activity in a local park. The 'incident' took place at the Grace Richardson conservation area in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Police say that the six senior citizens were taking part in sexual activities in the park (pictured below) and were arrested after receiving complaints about the behavior.

The group consisted of Otto D. Williams (62), Daniel Dobbins (67), Charles L. Ardito (75), John Linartz (62), and Richard and Joyce Butler (82 and 85 respectively) according to reports from Fox 4 News.

It was also reported that the place where they were arrested had been advertised online as a place for people to meet up for indecent purposes.

Fairfield Police released this photo (below) featuring four of the six arrested elderly citizens.

It was also discovered that this was not the first time that Dobbins (pictured below) had been arrested for a crime of this nature.

According to the Connecticut Post, Dobbins was caught naked in his car by authorities following reports of locals seeing him walking around Waveny Park naked. Dobbins apparently tried to defend his compromising position by saying that he was naked for medical reasons.

A court date had not yet been released by the authorities, although the six senior citizens were all released on the promise to return to court when a date is set.

Internet sites which advertise places meant for this sort of behavior are sadly far from uncommon in this day and age.

Now that the police have set up surveillance units to crack down on this type of activity, hopefully instances such as this will be brought to a halt.

At least for the sake of my mental well being if nothing else.

Capt. Robert Kalamaras has said attested to the Fairfield Police departments dedication to keeping public spaces safe for all people.

However, the aspect of this story which unsurprisingly had most people amazed was the age of the offenders.

Although, a survey which hit headlines back in 2018 shows that most elderly people do not believe that they are having enough sex, according to The Independent.

The study showed that over 50% of people over 65 thought that they were not having enough sex!

I bet you didn't think you'd hear that nugget of information today; and, hopefully you'll consider that before you go jumping to your scoffs and guffaws at the age of these offenders!
