Gigi Hadid Told Fans Not To Travel To Mykonos After Being Robbed And People Are Angry

Yikes!

Gigi Hadid was just robbed in Greece, but the drama doesn't stop there.

She told fans not to go there and, well, she's found a new enemy in pretty much all of Greece...

All it took was one Instagram post for Gigi Hadid to piss of practically the whole country of Greece.

She was staying on the island of Mykonos to celebrate her big sister, Alana's, birthday.

The drama started when Gigi posted this image to her disposable camera Instagram (yes, that's a thing).

In her caption, she wrote, "Mykonos film in. PS(A). Don’t let insta fool u. Got robbed. Never going back lol. Wouldn’t recommend. Spend your money elsewhere.”

According to TMZ, the villa she and her sisters were staying at got robbed while they were out.

Sources say that everyone's stuff was ransacked and scattered throughout the villa.

Expensive stuff, like purses, clothing, jewelry, and sunglasses were all stolen.

Once the scary incident happened, Gigi and her gang cut the trip short and high-tailed it out of there on a private plane.

Her telling fans not to go to Mykonos did *not* go down well with the people of Greece.

They soon flooded her comment section tons of backlash.

She's been accused of slandering.

And defaming, too, as one user pointed out how her comments are "very rude" to a country that relies on tourism.

"I got robbed in Miami... I don’t tell people not to go there... stupid post," someone wrote.

Another person accused her of pretending to have a good time in Greece just for the money.

Even Kim Kardashian got dragged into it!

Yikes, it's not every day Kim K gets off looking like a peach.

This is bad...

After all of the backlash, Gigi posted a comment to her post, sharing her side of the story.

“Let me make this clear for everyone below who thinks I don’t deserve to have an opinion on my experience and warn people of this—I was robbed along with more than 30 houses that night, some to gunpoint."

"It was not possible to contact any form of law enforcement except through my local security who happened to have a contact."

Instagram | @gigihadid

"That is a privilege that most people traveling there wouldn’t have."

She continued:

"If something happens while the police station is closed, there is nothing that can be done to protect yourself, and when the station does open, it doesn’t seem as though their training and resources are in line with keeping people safe or keeping up with the amount of crime that is happening on a nightly basis there (I am speaking of the island specifically only because it’s where I experienced this)."

"This is not information that is shared with people before they go. If I’d known it happened so much and there was not enough infrastructure to protect myself, I wouldn’t have gone."

Instagram | @gigihadid

"So this is my opinion based on actual events and you not liking that isn’t my problem."

She ended her comment by defending her right to post photos of the trip to her main account.

Instagram | @gigihadid

"Lastly, I work my ass off and never do a trip like this for myself and friends, so if I want to post pictures of the trip after being robbed, I will do so.”

Since she's blocked people from commenting on what she wrote, it's hard to say how people feel about her explanation.

Although our guess is still not good...

At the end of the day, we're just happy Gigi is safe!

And probably at home right now snuggling up to her potential new beau, Tyler from The Bachelorette.
