Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea Is The Sweet Plant To Add To Your Garden

Even though I don't have the best green thumb I'm always looking for a variety of interesting flowers I can add to my garden.

So I was thrilled when I came across these adorable and equally sweetly-named hydrangeas. They're aptly named Vanilla Strawberry because of how their colors. Check them out.

This Vanilla Strawberry shrub was first introduced to the world in 2010 by Jean Renault from France.

The American Nursery and Landscape Association named it the plant of the year.

This plant is a variety of panicle hydrangea and it gets its name because of the fact that it changes colors throughout its growing season.

How cool is that?

It starts off as a white hydrangea with just a hint of pink.

And as it grows and matures the shade of pink turns deeper into a strawberry shade.

Panicle hydrangea also has some other deliciously named varieties such as the Strawberry Sundae which is pretty similar to the Vanilla Strawberry.

The only difference is that it's slightly smaller.

Then, there's Fire Light hydrangea which again closely resembles the Vanilla Strawberry as it starts off white and deepens in color until it reaches a reddish pink in the fall.

So many hydrangeas, so little time!
