Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea Is The Sweet Plant To Add To Your Garden

Even though I don't have the best green thumb, I'm always looking for a variety of interesting flowers I can add to my garden.

So I was thrilled when I came across these adorable and equally sweetly-named hydrangeas. They're aptly named vanilla strawberry because of their colors. Check them out.

This vanilla strawberry shrub was first introduced to the world in 2010 by Jean Renault from France.

The American Nursery and Landscape Association named it the plant of the year.

This plant is a variety of panicle hydrangea and it gets its name because of the fact that it changes colors throughout its growing season.

How cool is that?

It starts off as a white hydrangea with just a hint of pink.

And as it grows and matures the shade of pink turns deeper into a strawberry shade.

I've got news for you: This lovely flower is easy to grow, low maintenance and it just adores the sun.

So it will be a great addition to your garden.

It's also a fairly large plant and it can easily reach 6 to 7 feet in height.

So make sure that, wherever you plant it, it will have plenty of space to grow.

It's the perfect flower to display in your garden as it blooms in the summer right when your garden is ready for some entertaining.

Your friends will definitely be impressed.

Planting the vanilla strawberry hydrangea is pretty simple.

Just dig a hole in the ground that's big enough for the root ball and make sure it gets plenty of water.

Another piece of good news is that this plant doesn't usually attract too many pests so it should be fine growing in your garden all season long.

Woo hoo! This is awesome.

This plant will bloom all summer long so it will be so interesting to see it change colors.

The unique red color lasts for about three to four weeks.

This flower is perfect for cutting and making into a bouquet so that would be a great idea as a gift for a friend or even for a bride-to-be.

Sam's Club

Love these!

Wow, that's giving me a great idea to keep in mind for my wedding as I haven't seen this kind of pretty and sweet bouquet that often, if ever.

Everyone wants a unique bouquet for their special day!

Panicle hydrangea also has some other deliciously named varieties such as the strawberry sundae, which is pretty similar to the vanilla strawberry.

The only difference is that it's slightly smaller.

Then, there's the fire light hydrangea which, again, closely resembles the vanilla strawberry as it starts off white and deepens in color until it reaches a reddish pink in the fall.

So many hydrangeas, so little time!

You know I've never thought of planting hydrangeas but now, looking at these gorgeous blooms, I'm definitely considering it.

I just have to get a garden that's big enough.
