Clever DIY Made From An Old Fan Will Get Rid Of The Snakes In Your Yard

Summer is the best time of the year to spend some precious time in your backyard. But if you live in an area prone to snakes you may realize that soon enough you'll be sharing your space with those pesky creatures.

No need to panic, though, because today I'm sharing with you a cool DIY snake trap you can make in just about an hour.

Say what? There are snakes in your backyard?

Well, if you do happen to have snakes in your backyard and I come to visit you better get them out first.

But seriously, let's get down to the nitty-gritty of how to construct this simple yet effective DIY snake trap you can set up anywhere that's prone to snakes.

And best of all, it won't hurt the snakes!

First off, you're going to need an old fan guard, plastic bottle, scissors, and a shovel to dig a hole in the soil where you'll be hiding the trap.

Get your supplies ready!

Now, you need to cut the plastic bottle in half.

Make more small cuts along the edges of both ends.

Then, you can fold the pieces and place the bottle over the hole in the fan guard to make a funnel.

Make sure it is securely in place. This is basically the hole the snake will crawl through to get in.

Next, you can assemble the fan guard and put it all together.

Your snake trap is just about done!

The next part is to find a good spot to hide the snake trap which would depend on your backyard area.

If you have a pond, place it nearby.

To do so you will need to dig up a hole in the ground with the shovel just deep enough so you can stick the trap inside of it.

VoilĂ !

Then you need to entice the snake to enter the trap.

The best way to do so is to put some food in there, like fish, for the snake to eat.

This looks easy enough. No?

I think anyone can do this fairly quickly and hope for the best that it catches you a big fat snake.

Then, to make the trap more inconspicuous for the snake, you can cover it up with soil, cut some branches and make it look as natural as possible.

That snake will never suspect a thing.

And, guess what?

Sure enough the next day the trap was checked and indeed there was a snake inside of it. Wow, that's a big one too. Yikes!

I dunno about going to check the trap myself if that's what I'm going to find there.

I guess I would just let someone else do it. LOL!

I guess there's a DIY solution for almost any problem out there.

Even snake catching can be done by yourself on the cheap if you have the stomach for it.
