Of course, as they say, all good things come to and end, especially in the age of social media. Fans are unfortunately taking to social media to fat-shame a model featured in the music video, Angelina Duplisea.
Both the song and music video have been getting a lot of praise from listeners and critics.
She begins the music video right off the bat with the text, "every woman is a riot," a popular feminist slogan.
She makes a nod to female empowerment, showing Little Miss Flint, MAri Copeny, in a superhero costume, as well as a mother breastfeeding her child.
She features trans model Casil McArthur, disabled, trans, and black model Aaron Philip, and skateboarder Lacey Baker, to name a few.
Some of her overt messages have created controversy.
Many people did not agree with her bold statement and were quick to call her out for being insensitive and demeaning.
It had to do with one particular model featured in the music video.
She looks like she is straight out of a Victorian painting, posed like a piece of art on a vintage chaise lounge chair.
She often poses nude or in lingerie and shows how the body is art.
She absolutely defies societal standards in many ways.
Miley's fans began to fat-shame Angelina.
People were very harsh and, honestly, straight up bullying Angelina.
One Twitter user boldly stated, "Obesity is not beautiful."
"I'm sorry but obesity is not a body type," they continued.
Google is the real disease.
Many people still made sure to praise the overall message of the music video.
It seems that many viewers were missing the point about Miley's decision to empower people of all body types.
Health definitely doesn't correlate to how one physically looks.
This person is calling out the ignorance and hypocrisy of those who commented negatively.
One of her most poignant statements? "Fat acceptance is based on the notion that all fat people, regardless of health, deserve respect."
