Quentin Tarantino's 'Star Trek' Movie Is Going To Be An R-Rated Film

The Star Trek movies are about to enter a whole new universe where anything goes.

Tarantino is known for his foul language and gory scenes, so we can expect that for the next stage of Star Trek.

Tarantino confirmed the rating to Empire Magazine.

“Oh yeah!” Tarantino said. “It’s an R-rated movie. If I do it, it’ll be R-rated.”

Karl Urban talked about why it's important.

“He wants an R-rating to really make those beats of consequence land. If it’s not PG, if someone gets sucked out into space, which we have all seen before, we might see them get disemboweled first…It allows some breadth…gives him some leeway to do that."

Basically, they want to capture the actual horrors that come with space.

It makes sense, considering the fact that in space, one wrong move could end it all.

Tarantino's 'Star Trek' is still in the development stage.

Do you think that the film should get an R-Rating?
