Lindsay Lohan Dragged Zendaya's Met Gala Look On Instagram And It's Pretty Rude

In case you've been living under an internet rock, the 2019 Met Gala just happened.

As usual, one of the standout stars of the pink carpet was Zendaya, who arrived with a mechanical dress that took her from regular princess to a Disney one.

While that dress blew up social media with its magical ingenuity, one person wasn't impressed — Lindsay Lohan.

The Met Gala's 2019 theme was "Camp: Notes on Fashion"

Camp, simply put, is an over-exaggeration of a concept that is traditionally either ironic or straight-up ugly.

It's extravagant, it's big, and it's something different. Think RuPaul and Lady Gaga.

Much of drag culture is based in camp, which Lena Waithe honored with her embroidered jacket!

And some of the looks were absolute stunts

In keeping with the exaggerated theme, a few attendees did it up in style.

So naturally, Zendaya upped the ante.

Zendaya, who has spent much of her career with Disney, decided to honor her Disney history in the craziest way.

She showed up on the pink carpet in a grey Tommy Hilfiger ballgown fit for a Disney princess.

Naturally, the Disney princess that came immediately to all of our minds was Cinderella.

Just when we thought that her dress was already stunning enough, she and her stylist Law Roach surprised all of us.

Right before our eyes, her "Fairy Godbrutha," Law Roach, waved his magic wand...

...and her dress came to life.

As we watched, her dress began to expand, her sleeves lifted, and light began to crawl up the dress and curl into the bodice.

There's a reason she was one of the last to walk the pink carpet.

How could you ever top that?

Her commitment to her performance as Cinderella was really unreal.

The work that was put into the dress was extraordinary.

The attention to detail is incredible. Her handbag even mimics the Fairy Godmother's carriage!

Zendaya shared some behind the scenes footage of the dress' test run.

As you can see, the mechanical work put into making this dress come to life was crazy intense.

It's truly a feat of engineering magic, and a flawless combination of science and fashion.

I think it's safe to say that this hasn't been done before.

Well, not to this level, anyway!

And not with the dedication and passion to truly make a Disney dream come to life.

Zendaya wasn't done, however, as she had one more magical moment up her puffy sleeves.

Or should I say, under her dress?

Incredibly, she even found a way to "lose" a glass slipper from under her skirts as she ascended the pink steps to the gala.

Guys, this attention to detail is untouchable.

So many people loved Zendaya's ode to camp.

It's safe to say that Zendaya's 2019 Met Gala outfit is one for the history books for years and years to come.

But of course, with all the love and positivity comes the haters and Internet trolls.

So, naturally, someone had something to say about it.

And that's Lindsay Lohan.

Seemingly unimpressed with the magic Zendaya brought to the Met Gala, Lindsay hopped onto @disneylifestylers' account and decided to rain on her parade.

Lindsay, this is why we can't have nice things.

I've honestly scoured social media and I can't seem to find even a handful of people who hated Zendaya's outfit.

And of all people to comment on it, it's LiLo.

She decided to call Zendaya out.

Did you know that Claire Danes apparently has the market cornered on wearing a blue dress that echoes Cinderella?

No one else can wear one. Just Claire Danes, according to Lindsay Lohan. And that's not even the worst of it.

Here's Claire Danes' look.

There's no denying that the dresses have similar elements. Claire's was powder blue, too, but lacked the sleeves or choker.

Additionally, hers was lit with tiny fiber optic lights that were mostly visible in low lighting.

In short, Claire's had the idea of Cinderella! But wasn't a direct homage.

Honestly, pointing that out isn't that bad.

Nothing wrong with saying, "Hey! I've seen that before!"

But Lindsay didn't stop there, and decided to take a direct shot at Zendaya.

Honey, no. You do not attack your fellow women like that!

She got straight-up nasty.

Returning to the post on @disneylifestylers, Lindsay decided to push her insults even farther.

I think it's pretty clear Zendaya wasn't trying to be more anything than Claire Danes. She was just trying to be Cinderella.

Also, bad form to tag Claire Danes herself, Lindsay. Damn.

Zendaya even said that the point of the dress was personal to her.

She captioned the video of her dress, "Thank you to my Fairy Godbrutha for a fairytale ending to my Disney days."

So weird that it doesn't say, "I did this specifically to spite Claire Danes, who is the only person who can ever wear anything Cinderella-inspired ever."

Other commenters were quick to shut Lindsay down.

Of the 600+ replies to Lindsay's comment, this one sums my feelings up the most respectfully.

(Listen, just because Lindsay got down in the dirt with the pigs, doesn't mean we all have to.)

All hail the Princess of the Met Gala.

And her wonderful Fairy Godbrother, Law Roach, as well as the Tommy Hilfiger team that made this dream dress come to life.

This was a really cool moment in Met Gala history, and it's so amazing we got to see it.
