Bum Chocolates Are The Most Intimate Valentine's Day Gift

As Valentine's Day fast approaches, many lovers find themselves asking the same question: What do you get somebody who has everything?

It's not as if flowers and chocolate are bad gifts per se, but if there's no creativity or thought put into how they're delivered, then they're unlikely to be that memorable.

But while the unusual confections from a company called Edible Anus certainly aren't for everybody, they'll certainly make a big impression on your beloved this Valentine's Day.

Just make sure they have a wild sense of humor first.

As the name would suggest, Edible Anus specializes in making chocolates that realistically depict the human butthole.

Edible Anus created its first chocolate bum in 2006. It's the brainchild of London artist, Magnus Irvin, who shared where he got this...interesting idea on the Edible Anus website.

Initially, Mr. Irvin tried to cast his own anus with messy and disastrous results. Whilst explaining his failure to a chance acquaintance at a bus stop he was gratified to find that his fellow bus passenger was willing to allow him to cast her anus.

Sadly, there's no explanation for why he wanted to try it on himself first.

OK, this is incredibly bizarre and you're probably not sure what you just stumbled upon.

There's also a chance that after the shock wears off, you went on to realize that the chocolate bum is the perfect Valentine's gag gift for your friend who needs a laugh.

Let's take a closer look at these chocolates.

As you might expect from a company with this much attention to detail, they're not ones to skimp on variety.

The chocolates come in milk, dark, and white Belgian varieties because what's the point of eating a model bum if it's not the right one for you?

It's also worth noting that the chocolates contain no preservatives.

And if you think the idea of giving one to your Valentine is too risky, they company recommends gifting them to your family.

As they say on their website, they consider it the perfect gift for all the family:

This luxury chocolate is unique and manufactured entirely in the UK. Watch Grandma’s face light up as she unwraps a homely selection of chocolate cracks. The perfect gift for all the family.

If this all seems like one big, strange joke, the company seems pretty serious not only about how they make them, but why they make them.

On their site, they write:

We believe the Edible Anus can help to break down cultural boundaries or race, class, gender, and sexual orientation in an amusing and easily digestible way.

While they certainly seem to be doing their part to break taboos, it's a little unclear how they hope to achieve all of that with this particular product.

In any case, the point is that they take their product seriously, and that particularly applies to how they're delivered.

They also sell an insulated shipping container lined with ice sheets to ensure they stay cool and crisp for up to seven days.

For those who don't mind splurging on Valentine's Day, there's another, much more expensive way to show your sweetheart you care.

For $1,900, you can get a custom mold of your or that special someone's anus made from bronze.

Again, you really want to make sure they've got a wild sense of humor. That's a lot of money for someone that might cause the wrong kind of tears.

Apparently, the company has already made his and hers bronze molds for at least one couple.

At least, that's what they shared on Twitter with a flurry of hashtags, one of which said, "#weddingrings."

That one might take some convincing...

In a video for the YouTube Channel Riot TV, Magnus demonstrates how these bronze molds are made.

As depicted in the video, the cast is made with a putty-like substance that has to set in place.

The position required to do this isn't the most natural, but gravity will otherwise make the rendering impossible. Once the impression is made, it can be applied to a wide variety of building materials.

So if this at all sounds appealing to you, be sure to give the company a look.
