Now, they're married and more adorable than they've ever been.
Just when our preteen-selves were learning to let go of Hannah Montana, she hit us with this.
We were so ready for it.
It was only a matter of time before they made their romance public.
We could practically hear the wedding bells. They were the original relationship goals.
I can only imagine how beautiful their hypothetical future children are going to be.
Them, plus all the Kardashian-Jenner babies. The next generation of celebs are going to be impossibly good-looking.
When they say "love conquers all," they mean it.
This was the calm before the storm, really. Just when we thought these two were thick as thieves, and totally unbreakable, the unspeakable happened.
During the whole Miley and Liam break-up, things got pretty intense. I won't get into it, but there was a lot of twerking, obscenities, shade, you name it.
Tons of great music too though.
Here we were, thinking that these two were unstoppable and destined to be together forever, so the break-up was pretty hard on all of us.
Thankfully, the universe brought these two love birds back together again.

Just when we thought things couldn't get any better, Miley dropped a serious bomb on us.

When I heard Miley and Liam were finally going to get married, I dropped everything that I was doing, and had a small, celebratory freak-out.
They were planning to get married at Miley's Malibu home but had to improvise something else last-minute, after her house became an unfortunate casualty of the California wildfires.
They kept the whole thing pretty low-key at first, but soon after, our feeds were flooded with adorable wedding photos.
Safe to say, the secret wasn't kept for long.
If we weren't already jolly enough just days before Christmas, Miley cranked our holiday spirit to the absolute max with all these wedding photos.
Miley shared this adorable post on Instagram for Liam's birthday yesterday, listing all the things she loves about him.
