If you haven't had a chance to watch Tidying Up With Marie Kondo on Netflix, it's a must.
The show has sparked a lot of emotions for people on Twitter and after watching the show, you'll totally understand why.
There's something both calming, relatable, and subtly hilarious about it, and we're obsessed.
And anyone who has watched Queer Eye knows what a bold statement that is — but it's true!
She's not a maid brought in to make your house tidy. She gives helpful direction, and then the homeowners do the actual work — as they should.
At first, it seemed kind of silly. Eventually, however, it has lead a lot of us to really appreciate the things we have.
And if you donate something, you're supposed to say "thank you" to it for allowing you wear it.
Again, kind of weird at first, but I'm also into it.
That's why this show is so great — it motivates you to start living a more organized lifestyle, and it doesn't feel like work.
It was awkward! Describing it as the 'Dinner Party' episode in The Office is actually wildly accurate.
But they start to call each other "babe" a lot, and most of the time it's not in an endearing fashion.
There was a lot of attitude just seething out of television.
But if you only got through the first episode, don't worry. There are a lot of other great couples on the show that make it well worth watching.
It's actually quite impressive. I'm willing to bet that a lot of people's shirts will be stacked like this from now on.
When you have kids in the family, the kitchen is one area of the home that's tricky to keep organized. Of course, Marie has all the tips to help with that.
Hint: it's all about organizational compartments.
If you're like the woman in the first episode, you might cry and be overwhelmed with how much you own, seeing it piled up so high.
Or you might be like me and cry because now you have to put it all back — neatly.
But if this wasn't the spiciest shade of 2019, I don't know what is.
And yes, books get their own category, meanwhile, the kitchen, bathroom and garage all fall under one grouping.
Amazing.
Several times throughout the episodes, she mentions that she has clutter, and she lets things get messy from time to time.
Seeing both her and her translator repeat outfits just confirms that she's legit.
If keeping a tidy home leads to being this happy all the time, then bring on the tiny organizational bins.
Which is fine! Whatever sparks joy, right?
