Harry and Meghan have some pretty exciting news... They're expecting again! They shared the big announcement on Instagram Sunday, accompanied by a sweet photo taken by their friend, Misan Harriman.
In November of 2020, Meghan revealed that she'd suffered a miscarriage this past July, detailing the heartache in a public essay.
But a spokesperson did confirm the happy news to BuzzFeed News, saying, "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”
Even though Meghan and Harry made the decision to step back from the royal family, Queen Elizabeth II has not changed the line of succession, and their second child will follow Archie, who is seventh in line.
"Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow. Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!" they shared.
Regardless of how you feel about the royal couple, a new baby is always something to be excited about!
A rainbow baby "is a baby born after a miscarriage, stillborn, or neonatal death. It is called a rainbow baby because it is like a rainbow after a storm: something beautiful after something scary and dark," Jennifer Kulp-Makarov, M.D., FACOG, explained to Parents.com.
So the timing here couldn't be more perfect.
Congrats to Meghan and Harry!
