10+ Of The Most Intense TV Show Moments In 2020

There's no easy way to put it: 2020 has been a truly horrible year. But it isn't without its charms, particularly as they pertain to our favorite TV shows.

So in an effort to show how this year hasn't been all bad, check out 10+ of the most intense TV show moments of 2020. Here's to hoping that 2021 is even better. I mean, it has to be — right?

The opening sequence of *Hunters*.

I know that the climax of this show was a bit of a letdown, but boy did it kick things off with a bang!

If you haven't watched this scene with the German subtitles, then you're missing out.

Seeing *Bojack Horseman* reconnect with all the faces of his past.

It's often difficult to determine what the greatest episode of a TV show is. Unless, of course, that show happens to be Bojack Horseman.

Because in that case, the answer is easy. It's "The View From Halfway Down."

Beth versus Borgov Part III in *The Queen's Gambit*.

If you had told me that my favorite mini-series of the year would revolve around the game of chess, I would have called you a liar.

But watching Beth battle Borgov was easily one of the tensest television moments of the year.

Chidi and Eleanor's last goodbye on *The Good Place*.

NBC

Holy forking shirt balls, I can't remember the last time I've cried so much.

I hadn't realized how close I'd grown to these characters over the years; it was like I was saying goodbye to a part of myself.

When Hannah discovers that she's really a ghost in *The Haunting Of Bly Manor*.

From the very first moment that Hannah appeared on screen, you could tell that there was something off about her. Pay close enough attention, and you'll notice she never eats or drinks.

The realization that she'd been dead the whole time was staggering.

The death of Oliver Queen in *Arrow*.

CW

Oliver Queen, you have SAVED this city. Heck, he saved the entire multiverse when you really stop and think about it.

I know it might have been a little hokey, but I was still glad to see Felicity and Ollie reunited.

When Adam finally learns how everything is connected in *Dark*.

This episode was earth-shattering, quite literally. It was at this moment that we learned about the third world that gave birth to The Knot.

Not only that, but Claudia finally reveals how Adam can destroy it.

Ben and Vanya's goodbye in *The Umbrella Academy*.

The Umbrella Academy was one of my favorite series of the entire year. Watching Vanya and Ben's tearful goodbye had me choked up and reaching for the box of tissues.

I can't wait for season 3!

Ahsoka Tano's lightsaber battle with the Magistrate in *The Mandalorian*.

After months of rumor and speculation, we finally got to see Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano and she did not disappoint!

Her final showdown with the Magistrate was easily the best fight scene of the series.

Richmond plays their final match in *Ted Lasso*.

I have to be honest: I wasn't expecting to like Ted Lasso. I'm just not normally a Jason Sudeikis fan, no disrespect intended.

I'm happy to say that he's made me a believer. I was on the edge of my seat watch Richmond's final match!

When Lydia rescues Carol from falling off the cliff in *The Walking Dead*.

AMC

You almost fooled me The Walking Dead! For a moment there, I genuinely thought that Carol was about to meet her end.

Which I suppose would have made a Daryl and Carol spin-off pretty difficult.

Harley and Ivy finally kiss in *Harley Quinn*.

What a kiss it is! You can feel their passion, feel their fierce affection for one another through the individual expressions on their faces.

I was admittedly a little sad for Kite-Man, but c'est la vie.

When Ahsoka Tano dueled Darth Maul in *Star Wars: The Clone Wars*.

Ahsoka is so incredible that she makes the list, twice! The siege of Mandalore was an exciting event on its own, but watching Ahsoka go head-to-head with one of the most infamous Star Wars baddies that ever was?

Well, that was just pure nerd magic.

Ryan Butcher accidentally killing his mother on *The Boys*.

It would have been so easy for The Boys to take the easy way out and have Ryan save his mother.

To witness Rebecca's accidental death at the hands of her own son was truly intense.

The Vat of Acid in *Rick And Morty*.

If you're a fan of the darker side of Rick's humor, you were likely all over the "Vat Of Acid" episode.

Of all the climactic adventures these two have shared over the years, this one may just be the best yet.
