Be A Good Neighbor And Celebrate Mister Rogers' Cardigan Day

There's nothing like a healthy dose of nostalgia on a gloomy 2020 day like today, and no, I haven't even checked the weather yet— I'm just assuming it's bleak.

November 13th is World Kindness Day, and I think we can all agree there is no one kinder than Mister Fred Rogers, which is why it makes sense that today is also Mister Rogers Cardigan Day.

There is no denying the world could use a little more kindness these days. If people took the time to look up from their phones and talk to one another, that could be a good start!

Another way to spread more kindness is by slapping on your favorite cardigan and pay tribute to the late, great Mister Rogers!

It's a shame that kids today aren't growing up with role models to look up to like Mr. Rogers.

The first episode of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood aired back in 1968 and filled television screens with joy until the show wrapped in 2001.

I still try to find reruns when I'm scrolling through channels — just for old times sake!

Not since Madonna's cone bra has a single article of clothing become as iconic as Mr. Roger's cardigan.

The world's best neighbor was never spotted without one, no matter the season! His cardigan was the type of comfort and consistency television is missing today.

Mr. Rogers Neighborhood gave wholesome, feel-good, family-friendly content a platform to brighten people's day, every day.

If you have wonderful movie taste like me, you went to see the Mr. Rogers bio-pic *A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood* in movie theatres last year. Remember movie theatres?! Putting on real pants, leaving my house and sitting in a dark room with a bunch of strangers? Those were the days!

The film, starring Tom Hanks, took viewers on a nostalgic journey through the life and mind of the beloved TV show host.

Plus, it stars Tom Hanks! What's not to love about that?!

Now, as a tribute to Mr. Rogers, the world celebrates his cardigan and World Kindness on the same day! It's a partnership that just makes sense!

I will sport my favorite cardigan today and maybe even smile at a stranger in honor of the beloved television host.

After such an exhausting year, it's so nice to remember that lovely days like this exist and that we can still hold on to the good ol' days!
