Tim Allen Shows Off His New Beard As Part Of His 'Transition' Into Santa Claus

Do you hear that? Coming over the hills? Listen closer. Really close. I think you'll hear the sleigh bells jingling as Christmas comes closer and closer and closer. 2020 has been such a mess that I'm already coping by going full holiday-mode — I'm baking cookies, I'm singing carols, I'm putting up the tree, and most importantly, I'm watching Christmas movies.

And you can't stop me.

Christmas movies have a magical power.

And I'm not talking about the spirit of Christmas.

Christmas movies are a special brand of happy, wholesome, and easy to watch. There's nothing like cozying up under a blanket with a mug of hot chocolate and enjoying a sweet story where the good guys win and you don't have to think about anything too hard. It's November of 2020 — I'm done thinking. I retire from it officially.

One of my favorite Christmas movie franchises is obviously *The Santa Clause.*

Maybe it has a lot to do with the cute elf who's in it, maybe it doesn't. Who's to say?

The Santa Clause series star Tim Allen as a toy salesman who accidentally gains the power of being Santa and has to figure out how to handle his own life while also juggling all of Santa's duties and responsibilities.

That's why when Tim Allen shared this selfie, I let out a joyous 'ho ho ho!'

"Woke up this morning and noticed a bit more stubble. This always happens to me as I transition to you know who this Christmas," Tim captioned the picture.

I absolute do know who, Tim, and I'm firing up my DVD player as we speak.

Personally, I'm at the stage of transforming into Santa Claus where I gain the bowl-full-of-jelly belly.

I think I might skip the beard this year, and keep the belly for warmth. What? It's only economical.

Fans loved seeing Tim reference one of the most classic Christmas movies of all time, and they shared their responses with the big man himself.

Some people thought the picture might be a clue that there could be a *Santa Clause* 4 coming our way.

Now that would be a good Christmas present, as long as we've all been good enough to not get a pile of coal in our stockings this year.

I think we could use a little good news by way of a new Santa Clause, don't you? Haven't we gone through enough this year to have earned it?

Tim might have the time to do it.

Although he's hosting a DIY competition show with his Home Improvement co-star Richard Karn, his beloved sitcom Last Man Standing's final season will be airing in 2021, so maybe with all that open space on his schedule, he could slip back into the red and white suit of our dreams.

Tim Allen might not be coming down our chimneys this year, but we can always enjoy *The Santa Clause*.

It looks like Tim's facial hair is certainly enjoying the trip down memory lane, so why don't we?
