Kristen Bell Reveals Her Kids Were Drinking Non-Alcoholic Beer During Class: 'There’s Nothing Wrong With It'

We already know that Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are one of Hollywood's most adorable and elite celeb couples.

Their parenting techniques are often praised for being progressive and unconventional. Kristen and Dax are also super adamant about keeping their children's faces off their social media accounts, so when we do get a glimpse into their kids' cuteness, it's always so exciting!

It's no secret that Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are couple goals AF, not just because of who they are as a duo, but how they raise their adorable family!

Kristen and Dax have always kept their daughters Delta, 5, and Lincoln, 7, private.

You won't ever see their faces on their parents' Insta accounts!

Just like their parents, Delta and Lincoln are *hilarious.* Check out this picture Kristen posted after asking her girls to start making their own breakfast:

Okay, that to me is called balance, SWEETIE!

Who doesn't want a morning serving of fries?!

The couple has always kept it open and honest with their children, going so far as to explain Dax's sobriety journey to them.

Earlier this month, Kristen shared the card her daughter made in honor of Dax's 16th sobriety anniversary.

Posting a letter from one of their daughters, Kristen wrote, "Today is my husband's 16th sobriety birthday. My daughter woke him up with this sign, and a sketch of the one and only Ronald Weasley (absolutely random, and also perfect)."

She continued: "Happy birthday Daxy. Thank you for dedicating your life to the hard and wonderful work of sobriety, so that we could share it with you. Xo K, L & D."

Since Dax is sober, he drinks a lot of alcohol-free beer. *Why are you telling me this, Taylor?* you may be asking yourself, but don't worry, I will explain everything!

Speaking about her daughters, Kristen admitted that they have an affinity for the non-alcoholic beer, O’Doul's, while chatting on the "Say Yes! with Carla Hall" podcast, as per People.

Kristen emphasized that Dax's sobriety journey is a topic that's discussed often in their house.

"I’m going to get a lot of flak for this. And let me start by saying I don’t care. You’re allowed to give me any advice you guys want, any of these listeners," Kristen shared.

"You’re welcome to tell me I’m a terrible parent. I don’t care. I’m a great parent, I think. I’m learning every day!"

"My husband brought home a six-pack of O’Doul’s last night. And my daughters often ask for O’Doul’s," she said, insisting that her girls have "been at restaurants and ordered" the beers before.

"The reason for this is because when we first had our child and my husband would put her in the BABYBJÖRN and we’d walk around the neighborhood, he’d pop a non-alcoholic beer in his hand and the baby would paw at it and put the rim in her mouth."

"It’s a sentimental thing for my girls, right? It makes them feel close to their dad."

She then revealed that her daughters had drunk O'Doul's with their dinner the night before the incident.

"We're like, 'I mean, there's nothing wrong with it. It's just essentially a bubbly juice.' Right? There's nothing in it."

"We also talk to them very much about [Dax’s] sobriety and the importance of it and why Daddy can’t drink."

However, Kristen said that she may have to draw the line at her daughters drinking them during their Zoom school classes.

"They have 15-minute breaks where they’re allowed to jump around and grab a snack and wiggle it out," Kristen explains.

"And I walk in to check on them at 9:30 and both of them are drinking an O’Doul’s on their Zooms. They’re both just sipping their Doulies. And I’m like, ‘What must these other parents and teachers think of me?'"

"And then I remind myself, ‘You don’t care, Kristen. They can pretend like you’re doing something wrong.’ I would argue that I’m not, because it’s non-alcoholic. If anything, it opens up the discussion for why Daddy has to drink non-alcoholic beer, because some people lose their privileges with drinking. Drinking’s not always safe."
