Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore Reboot '50 First Dates' For 2020

When it comes to comedy duo's I truly cannot live without, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore cannot be overlooked.

Their movies together are some of my all-time FAVES! The Wedding Singer spins me right 'round baby, right 'round!

Blended was truly such a sweet film about bringing two families together that I totally don't cry to all the time.

And, OF COURSE, 50 First Dates!

*50 First Dates* is to cinema what hash browns are to hungover people— FEEL GOOD FUEL!

50 First Dates follows the love story of Henry (Adam Sandler) and Lucy (Drew Barrymore).

Lucy's character has no short term memory, and forgets who Henry is at the end of every day, leaving Henry the task of making her fall in love with him every single day.

The movie ends with us seeing Lucy watching a VHS Henry made for her to watch every morning, to catch her up on life before starting each new day.

Sony Pictures

It's truly one of the sweetest movies of all time!

Now, Drew is giving fans more 50 First Dates by rebooting it for 2020 on her talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show!

The skit starts with Lucy popping in her VHS tape, where Henry goes onto explain the chaos that has been 2020!

"We are on, I think, our 5000th date together," Adam says, "Let me catch you up."

"You have a thing called amnesia and I am your husband. We have a daughter, who is about 40 now… or something," he continues.

"It’s 2020 and we’re all in the middle of a pandemic, which is a terrible thing. Baseball games are now being played in front of cardboard people."

"So to recap, 2020 is not great, Netflix is good," Adam jokes. THEN 10 SECOND TOM GIVES US A CAMEO and I die of happiness.

On a serious note, Adam wishes his friend the best of luck: "You are magic. The whole world feels it, and I’m so lucky that I know you so well. Love you."

UGH, I love them together SO MUCH!
