It's freestanding. I know! You don't have to worry about finding somewhere to string the hammock up to, because it comes with a sturdy frame that will hold up to 300 pounds.
The net will keep you from suffering through a bunch of mosquito bites that you'll scratch at endlessly for days after your hammock hang. Honestly, it's worth it for that feature alone.
It's safe to leave up, too, since it's made of weather-resistant fabric. No need to pack it up when the weather turns. Thank god, because that sounds exhausting.
Not only do they enjoy it, but apparently it was easy to put together. It takes about 2 hours to put together alone, and it doesn't take any extra tools to assemble.
"The screen does not go underneath the frame, & as campers know, bugs will get into anything that is not completely enclosed. But this item does keep most of the bugs out."
So, it won't keep you totally covered. Heads up.
And they're still fans. The biggest problem seems to be pollen getting in during the spring, but that can be vacuumed out. The tent itself held up perfectly with no signs of rust or wear.
Online retailers like Amazon have also had it for sale in the past, but this popular item tends to sell out quickly.
What should you do if that happens again this year? You could pick up a regular hammock and a mosquito net and improvise your own! There's nothing wrong with a little DIY, right?
