Toddlers Reunite After Months Apart In Heartwarming Viral Video

One of the hardest things to do during the coronavirus pandemic is keep your children home and occupied. While many of us understand why it is important to stay home and away from other people, our kids don't exactly get it. Explaining social distancing and the virus to little children doesn't always hit home as many of them are too young to fully understand.

Many kids want to know why they cannot go to school.

For young kids in preschool and younger grades, they miss the routine of going to school every day and seeing their friends and teachers. They don't necessarily understand what has changed.

A lot of them also miss seeing their friends.

School isn't just a place for learning, but also for socialization for many kids. Being able to see their friends, have play dates, and socialize is important for their growth and development.

The coronavirus, of course, has put a halt on these experiences.

While we try to Zoom and FaceTime our friends and family frequently, it's not the same as having that in-person interaction with our loved ones. Many children are hurting due to this.

Luckily, some states and cities are easing up on their quarantine and lock down laws.

While many have been home for almost two months, some states and cities are phasing into reopening as the number of people testing positive have decreased. Of course, many are happy to be reunited with family and friends.

Mom Kathleen Rosboschil of Austin, Texas shared the story of her three-year-old daughter and her best friend.

Her daughter, Madison, is best friends with another three-year-old, James Blaylock of Flowood, Mississippi. The two states have had strict lockdown orders in place over the past few months to combat the coronavirus.

However, both Texas and Mississippi have phased into their reopening recently.

After two months of not being able to see each other or hang out, Madison and James were finally able to see each other for the very first time. As expected, the video is absolutely precious.

Rosboschil shared the video on her Instagram page and it immediately went viral.

She captioned the video:

"When you see your best friend after 67 days of quarantine. "

The two toddlers in the video run at each other with arms wide open, ready to give hugs. Of course, they're wearing their masks.

The two even touched each other's masks, seeing how things are changing for them and the world.

The mom said they wanted them to wear masks, "...so they'd learn they have to continue wearing masks when seeing new people and going out." A truly smart and wonderful lesson.

While some states are opening up, things are going slowly.

The mom shared that:

"We are still very cautious about going out and trying to find a new normal, but I hope it gives everyone a little bit of hope that one day they can be reunited with whoever they are missing.
