Very Good Dog Delivers Groceries To Self-Isolating Elderly Neighbor

We're all doing our best to get through this global pandemic. Whether it's as a front line health worker, as someone essential to keeping supply chains moving, or simply as a person staying home and staying safe, every little role matters.

But if you're someone who feels like staying home and watching Tiger King isn't quite the "Good Samaritan" act you imagined, maybe there is a neighbor nearby who could really use a hand.

That's how Colorado resident Karen Eveleth felt as the pandemic began, and she realized that there was someone she could really make a difference for.

Renee Hellman has been Karen's neighbor for more than a decade and struggles with a number of health issues. Since she relies on an oxygen tank, Renee has a high risk of complications if she were to catch the novel coronavirus.

This means that she's self-isolating herself and is unable to go out for essentials.

Karen wanted to help without putting her neighbor in danger and after seeing a story about service dogs, she had a fun idea.

Her dog Sunny is a very good boy and Renee decided to see if he could help.

Not only did it work, but it's become the norm in the weeks since Renee's self-quarantine started.

And it's ADORABLE.

"She got the list, she gave it to Sunny, Sunny brought it to me," Karen told KKTV. "I went to the store, got her groceries, and he delivered them all to her."

Could Karen leave the groceries on the porch? Sure, but Sunny brings a smile and a bit of physical contact along with the milk and eggs.

And that makes him a Very Good Dog.
