Viral 'Fox Dog' Is Actually A Pomeranian-Husky Mix Named Mya

There are so many amazing animals on the internet that it takes something a little extra special to really stand out and go viral.

Take, for example, this beautiful dog named Mya, who had a small, devoted following until her photo was posted to the r/aww community on Reddit.

The post was titled simply: "The 'Pomsky.' The result of breeding a husky and a Pomeranian."

Which is exactly what Mya is a mix of, but it was the comments where her viral stardom began.

"The real Mozilla Firefox," said f4vre, only to be corrected by Missa_doodikins, who said "That is a Pokémon, that is."

Redditor illestprodigy concurred, "Definitely fire type."

And so the "Fox Dog" went viral.

But whether you lean towards browser mascot or Pocket Monster, everyone agreed that Mya looks more like a fox than a dog.

Mya and her human Dave Lasio live in South Florida, but spend plenty of time adventuring throughout the United States.

Of course, Mya is just a normal dog behind the foxy face.

She loves walks and fetching sticks and generally being adorable.

Pomskies are a relatively new mixed breed and you can see why they've become popular.

But it's important to know that not every pomsky will look like a Pokémon.

Puppies can inherit the looks and temperaments of either of their parents, so predicting the final appearance, or even size, of a mix with such wildly different parents is pretty much impossible.

Additionally, the mix is so new that longterm health issues are currently a mystery.

Still, as long as you go in without specific expectations and have done the research about the breed, pomskies can be great companions.
