8+ Hidden Details From 'You' Season 2 Fans Didn't Notice

Fans of the show, even the most keen-eyed among them, were bound to miss these small details from the second season of You.

Hey, it's not your fault, keen-eyed fans. It just seems that your peepers were not strong enough to spot these!

Unless they were, in which case I sincerely apologize.

1. The change of location

We all know that You Season 2 takes place in a new city, but did you know that when Joe walks through a film set in the beginning of the season, someone yells:

"We have a location change".

2. The actress pretending to be dead

Also when he's on the film set, there is an actress who is pretending to be dead. This cannot possibly be a little detail, right?

It's just a dead actress!

Wrong!

Not only does the actress look a little like Candace from behind, but her "death" also foreshadows how Candace is going to die at the end of the season.

Oh, snap!

3. Anavrin

Netflix

Anavrin, of course, is just "Nirvana" spelled backward.

And as we all know, Nirvana had a lot of little appearances in the last season. In fact, Beck had a Nirvana T-Shirt when she was trapped in Joe's cage.

4. Crime and Punishment

Netflix

The book by Dostoevsky is not only the thing he uses to get a job at Anavrin, but also has some similar themes to the second season of the show.

It is a monumental book, but most of it is about a young man who has all these regrets about killing someone.

Netflix

Sound familiar? Well, it should, because it's You Season 2.

5. Haunted by peaches

Netflix

Joe apparently feels haunted by peaches because he feels responsible for Peach's death.

And he has a point... his first conversation with Love is about peaches and he rants about them on his LSD trip.

6. The tennis names

Netflix

We've done a piece on this already, but Love and Forty's names are references to Tennis.

For those of you who don't watch and/or play a lot of tennis, it's a reference to the way Tennis is scored.

You don't say "zero" in Tennis.

Netflix

It's called "love".

Also, you go up by a certain amount of integers each point. 15, then 30, then 40. After 40, the person who scores gets a game. Get enough games and you win a set. Enough sets and you win the match.

Anyways, 40 and Love's names are just someone getting schooled in tennis.

7. Forty's nickname for Joe

Netflix

As you may or may not recall, Forty's nickname for Joe is "Old Sport".

That nickname is one the Great Gatsby uses as well, and Forty even dies like Gatsby: by getting shot.

8. Joe's Paris obsession

Netflix

When Joe is stalking Love and her friends before meeting her, he wonders if they want to steal her away to Paris.

Kind of sounds like when Peach tried to get Beck to go to Paris in season 1.

9. Candace wants to go to Italy

Netflix

In Season 2, Candace comments about how she wants to go to Italy.

This is a nod to when we all believed Candace cheated on Joe and went to Italy.

10. The *Gossip Girl* reference

Netflix

We all know that Penn Badgley (who plays Joe) was also in Gosspi Girl, right?

Well, when he uses Delilah's phone to text Ellie, he signs it "XO". Which, is similar to Gossip Girl's iconic phrase.

11. The blood on his hands

There are some out there that believe that when Joe hallucinates blood on his hands, he could actually just be seeing Flamin' Hot Cheetos dust.

He didn't deliver them to Delilah, he just ate them.
