Kevin Hart's Wife Reveals She Discovered He Was Cheating On Her Through Instagram

Kevin Hart has had an eventful 2019. After getting into and recovering from a horrific car accident at the start of September, he's also released a Netflix documentary on his life.

Kevin Hart: Don't F*** This Up has not shied away from covering the tough issues in Kevin's career, including the highly publicized affair he had during his wife's pregnancy.

In 2017, it was revealed that Kevin Hart had an affair with another woman while on a vacation in Las Vegas.

Kevin revealed that he was being extorted with a video of the incident in an emotional Instagram video wherein he apologized to his wife and children.

"I’m not perfect. I’m not going to sit up here and say that I am, or claim to be in any way shape or form," he said.

"And I made a bad error in judgment."

"I put myself in a bad environment where only bad things can happen, and they did. And in doing that I know that I’m going to hurt the people closest to me, who’ve I talked to and apologized to, that would be my wife and my kids," he said in the video.

"I gotta do better and I will. ...I love you all," he captioned the post.

"That's Kevin Hart in his dumbest moment. That's not the finest hour of my life. With that being said, you make your bed, you lay in it," Kevin added, and then said about his wife, "We talked."

"That's when the bond of your union will be questioned. No one is perfect."

Kevin's wife had maintained her silence throughout the public backlash of the announcement and had not commented on Kevin's affair until now.

In an interview in the documentary, Kevin's wife Eniko opened up about her experience and how she discovered his infidelity.

Eniko tearfully explained that she found out through a direct message sent to her on Instagram. "I don't know who it was [that sent the message], but they sent me an edited video of Kevin and, you know, another woman."

"I was pregnant at that time."

Netflix

"I was about seven or eight months pregnant and I was having breakfast and I opened my phone and immediately I just lost it. I called him, I'm crying," she explained.

"Right then and there, I just kept saying, 'How the [expletive] did you let that happen?'"

Netflix

Eniko continued, saying, "You publicly humiliated me. Everything is on Instagram; everything is on social media."

"So, it was an ongoing fight all the time."

"Every single day. I kept questioning him, like, 'If this is what you want to do, I don't want to be a part of that.'"

"It was a lot for me, but we've been through it, we've gone through it, we passed it and he's a better man now because of it."

Netflix

"I believe in second chances. I'm all about forgiveness, and you only get two times. Three strikes you're out, you're out of here. So, as long as he behaves, we're good."

The Netflix documentary also covers the scandal Kevin found himself in when he was announced as the Oscars host for that year.

Kevin eventually lost the position as old homophobic tweets of his surfaced.

In the Netflix series, Kevin addresses this issue, saying, "I missed an opportunity to say simply that I don’t condone any type of violence in any way, shape or form to anyone for being who they are."

"Instead, I said, ‘I addressed it.’ I said, ‘I apologized.’ I said, ‘I talked about this already.’ I was just immature.”

"You can't do it by yourself. You don't let them do their jobs by being the defiant. When you're wrong it's going to hurt because you're going to look back and go, '[expletive], I should've listened.'"
