Now, this may not come as a surprise to you, but the internet likes puppies; so, when 9 adoptable puppies named after Santa's reindeer were shared on Facebook, the internet didn't stand a chance.
Now, this may not come as a surprise to you, but the internet likes puppies; so, when 9 adoptable puppies named after Santa's reindeer were shared on Facebook, the internet didn't stand a chance.
Sadly, Santa's reindeer do not have time in their busy schedule to make home visits to people; however, thanks to these tiny sausage dog puppies named Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolf, you can adopt a pint-sized version to have for your very own.
Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & District branch of the RSPCA has been taking applications from people looking to adopt any of the puppies, and as you can imagine, the response has been immense!
In fact, the home has received over 1000 applications.
You can head over to their Facebook Page to see the announcement about when the cut-off will be. They also had to write, "Please note, only those successful in their application will be invited to view the puppies, so please do not attempt to make an appointment to do so. Thank you," due to the amount of messages they were receiving from people wanting to come and see the puppies.
Due to the fact that the puppies are so young, staff are confident that the puppies will be able to adapt to most homes easily enough. However, there are a few conditions that prospective owners may have to meet, according to the Examiner Live:
"Staff feel due to the breed a home with sensible older, dog-savvy children would be best. Any potential owners must do their research into the breed and their associated health issues, insurance, and vets fees, as well as puppy training classes."
Olive is currently living at the branch, busily looking after her 9 puppies — a task which makes me feel exhausted for her!
However, she is also looking to find a family to become a part of. She is apparently looking for a home with adults only, or older children. She is also looking for a garden to call her own, and doesn't like to be left alone:
"Olive has never lived in a typical home before, she has a full-time job on her paws raising her puppies so hasn't had a chance to explore a home while at the center. Due to this Olive would need a home with somebody who is around most of the day, where she will not be left alone for very long and who is willing to work with Olive should she need a little help with settling into a proper home environment."
It is not just the puppies who are in need of a home, Olive is also very much looking forward to meeting the family that she can spend the rest of her life with. Hopefully, the people applying to visit this adorable family are people who are serious about giving them a home, and not just looking to take photos!
