Since it's release, fans have been asking one question: when are we going to get a sequel?

Unfortunately, it may not be coming anytime soon. Danny Devito recently said in an interview:
"I always wanted to do Matilda 2, but when the kid was still a kid. But that was like 20 years ago, 25 years ago. Maybe Matilda has a kid and we can do something that, I don't know."
However, since Netflix partnered with The Roald Dahl Story Company, there may be room to do a sequel
