'People Went Crazy' Says Kaley Cuoco When She Made Headlines For Her Husband Living Separately From Her

Kaley Cuoco and her husband don't live together, and that is a big deal to a lot of people.

She appeared on The View to chat about it recently, and actually gave a pretty good explanation for why she and Karl Cook aren't living under the same roof.

Karl and Kaley are newlyweds.

They wed in June 2018.

Kaley was previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016. Before that, she was dating her Big Bang Theory co-star, Johnny Galecki.

With Karl, it looks like she's totally found the right one.

"We are building our dream house, we are eventually going to be under the same roof forever."

"We have a very unconventional marriage, you know, we have different locations that we are at a lot." She said back in August.

This sort of thing is okay for them.

"We are not together every single day, and I think personally, it’s important. It works well for us."

Those comments sent people into a spiral. They couldn't comprehend them not living together.

So, fast forward to now.

Kaley appeared on The View to chat about living in New York.

Joy kicked off some New York talk by comparing it to LA, pointing out how different they are from each other.

And here we have a New York stan vs a LA stan.

YouTube | The View

"I've been to both New York — of course, I live here, I grew up here — but I've been to LA. And it's different from New York."

Different coasts for different folks.

Kaley totally got what Joy was saying.

"Besides nobody has gray hair there, the people don't bother you, they don't annoy you. You know what I mean?"

Kaley did. "I noticed that!"

Joy asked if people bothered her at all.

They totally don't.

"I do not get recognized here at all. Even when I'm trying to get recognized."

New Yorkers? Not caring? Must be a day ending in "y."

Anyway, there's definitely a story behind Kaley's comment.

She and Karl were told to go to a new bar.

YouTube | The View

"It took us forever to get there. And I walk up to the guy — there was, like, a bouncer — we were the only two, and I didn't have my ID."

The bouncer was not having it.

YouTube | The View

"And he goes, 'You need your ID.'"

Karl did not want her to do what she did next.

"So I go, 'Do you know who I am?'" Kaley said. "And he goes, 'no.'"

Oh, speaking of Karl...

She discussed what happened when she revealed that she and Karl don't live together all the time.

"I made headlines saying that we don’t live together. And people went crazy."

Work keeps them apart.

YouTube | The View

"Because of work and his business, and his horses are a few hours away from where I was currently living," she said.

Karl is a professional equestrian, so he obviously needs to be near his horses.

They're going to live together soon.

"We’re actually building our house together right now," she said. "We just haven’t been under the same roof."

I mean, I feel like this is pretty normal for actors. You sort of have to temporarily live where your project is shooting.

It works for them.

"But, by the way, it’s been working great and we love it. We love it, so I don’t know why people have such an issue."

I mean, if it works for them, who are we to judge?

Also, she's battling divorce rumors.

"Every day." She said, repeatedly.

"I don't know why it's so interesting to people to talk about my marriage!" She laughed.

"Because they know who you are!" Joy Behar pointed out, which is...fair.

Meghan McCain then totally exposed Karl.

YouTube | The View

"I guess Karl wanted to fight back, and he posted an Instagram photo declaring his love for you?" She asked.

Please just...witness the photo they showed. Karl is a full troll.

This post is so good.

Instagram | @mrtankcook

"In my just over year of marriage I have many times found myself gazing over at my wife in awe of her beauty and grace. This is not one of those times, this time makes me wonder, ‘@kaleycuoco where’s your neck?’ Omg I love you so much honey!!!" He wrote.

Kaley explained that this is just how they are.

Instagram | @mrtankcook

"Karl and I like to go at each other on Instagram. He's actually developed his own little social media following, he's very proud of himself. But these are the type of flattering photos he posts of me."

I have a question.

Um, what does she think a "little social media following" is? Because Karl has over 400,000 followers on Instagram.

400,000+ followers. So, uh, I'd say that's more than little. Little is like...10.

Anyway, Kaley said she loves living in New York.

Instagram | @mrtankcook

She's living in there while she shoots a new project.

"I’m shooting here and I love it. just love the area and my apartment building is right in between a dog park and a rabbit rescue. So, it’s built for me."

Try and tell me you don't do this.

YouTube | The View

"I’m the girl that goes and sits in the park and watches the dogs run around like a creeper because I can get kind of my fill," she said, to which I say: um, same.

Her second stop is the rabbits.

YouTube | The View

"And then I go into the pet store and I see the rabbits."

The way she first phrased it, I truly thought there was a place in New York entirely dedicated to rescuing and adopting out rabbits, and only rabbits.

Anyway, that's the Kaley tea. Nothing to see here!

The hosts were super excited that she's a New Yorker now.

YouTube | The View

"Because you are now officially a New Yorker, we gave you a little gift basket," co-host Abby Hunstman said, handing a delighted Kaley a basket of goodies.

"Awww!" Kaley said. Which, same. That's so cute.

Some of the stuff was REALLY nice.

YouTube | The View

"Headphones, so you always act busy," she said, just casually picking up a pair of AirPods like it was no big deal.

Actually, it probably wasn't. They're all rich, right? Sigh.

Kaley was super excited.

"Sunglasses, so no one will talk to you. And of course, hand sanitizer and a subway card," Abby finished.

I wonder if those sunglasses were, like, Dior or something. You never know.
