Ryan Reynolds And Hugh Jackman Troll John Legend For Being 'Sexiest Man Alive'

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have a tendency to do one thing (besides acting): troll each other.

Every once and a while, they drag other celebrities into it, which is what they did recently when they decided to troll John Legend, who is definitely a newcomer when it comes to their pranks and games.

You know what's nice? When celebrities interact with each other over social media.

In a way, it kind of humanizes them and makes them feel a lot more relatable.

What's even better is when celebrities play little pranks and tricks on each other.

That's what Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are all about.

But before we get into that, let's actually look at what caused this.

Because you should know, to be trolled by Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds is an extreme honor.

John Legend should count his blessings.

First, some backstory.

The annual feature we now know as the "Sexiest Man Alive" is strictly for men, and is always some kind of celebrity.

It's probably the most important issue for the magazine for the entire year.

Back in 1985, while people were preparing the magazine spread...

Someone exclaimed, "Oh my God, he [Mel Gibson] is the sexiest man alive!"

The response was someone else saying, "You should use that as a cover line."

So yeah, Mel Gibson was the first man to ever grace the cover.

Gibson has kind of quieted down in Hollywood, not really appearing in any major films lately.

However, the magazine has featured very prominent actors or celebrities in general!

Since then, it's been something that we, as fans, constantly look forward to.

Some other major names that have won, for reference:

Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, Brad Pitt, Dwayne Johnson, Jude Law, and more.

The list of beautiful men goes on and on.

Among those men who have won are Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds.

Which, let us be honest: It makes a lot of sense.

They're hilarious, they're great husbands and fathers, and most importantly to People Magazine, they're sexy.

This year, John Legend has been named 'Sexiest Man Alive.'

He is known for his popularity as a singer/songwriter and his ability to be the best husband on the planet. So he rightfully deserved the spot on People's magazine cover.

And...people had OPINIONS.

For example, Wendy Williams didn't think Legend deserved the title at all, and that it should have gone to Jason Momoa!

It wasn't exactly an unpopular opinion.

In fact, a lot of people on Twitter thought that Momoa should have gotten the crown.

But for this year, his Aquaman crown will have to suffice.

But for the most part, people were supportive.

After all, 'sexy' is a state in mind, and it's true that it takes more than just a nice face and body to hold the title.

His wife, Chrissy Teigen, who is also extremely famous, celebrated on Twitter.

She even trolled him a couple of times as well (which is why we love that couple so much).

Seriously, follow them on social media, they're so sweet.

So, because of that, both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman decided to troll John Legend for his win.

The two actors have won the coveted title of People's "Sexiest Man Alive" before.

And to be honest, why wouldn't they? They're sexy, they're men and they are very much alive.

Hugh Jackman himself sent out this tweet, congratulating Legend on his win and warning him not to be part of the 1%.

Ryan Reynolds references his Deadpool movie in the video as well, while Hugh Jackman casually pretends it doesn't matter that he graced the cover of the magazine.

The video is hilarious, and right now, we just all want John Legend to respond.

If you could have a personal say in who would be 'Sexiest Man Alive' who would it be?

Would it be John Legend or Mel Gibson? Ryan Reynolds or Hugh Jackman? Or someone else entirely?
