It always sucks when a gift you've put a lot of thought into is re-gifted or "mysteriously" vanishes from the recipient's possession. Something you put a lot of thought into ends up not mattering to the person it's for? Ouch.
It double sucks when that person is a celebrity.
The bright and bold color combination fit perfectly with Billie's preferrred sense of style, and at the time she seemed excited to receive the gift.
They knew it was that exact one since it had a note in the pocket that read, "Stay warm, Billie!" with the gift-giver's Instagram handle.
The one who found the jacket replied to him, saying, "Omg I’m so sorry. At least it’s keeping me warm lol. @billieeilish give @Donnie_Gloede tickets or something and make it up to him!"
"All she had to do was keep it. She didn’t have to wear it was that so hard lol. She went through the extra effort of giving it away," another fan said.
Fans have pointed out that Billie likely receives tons of presents, and there's really no way that she could hang onto or keep all of them, while pointing out that everyone gets rid of presents they don't need.
He wrote on Instagram “I need you all to know that I’m not pressed and I love you @billieeilish,. Imagine how massive her closets would have to be if she kept every single thing every fan gave her!”
At least by donating it, someone gets to enjoy the jacket, instead of it sitting somewhere in a closet untouched for ages.
It is better that the jacket was donated rather than thrown out so that it wasn't wasted! Plus, the fan who gave Billie the jacket and the fan who found it now both have a pretty cool story.
