Meryl Streep's Smile In 'Big Little Lies' Is The Biggest Easter Egg Of All

Ah yes, Big Little Lies. The show that has been taking the world by storm the past couple of years.

If you're a fan of this awesome show then stay tuned.

'Big Little Lies' is sweet.

HBO

It's got murder, intrigue, mystery, everything a good little TV viewer needs to grow up and become a real boy and/or girl.

You know what I mean.

It's got an all-star cast, too.

HBO

Let's start with the men because the women on this show have much bigger names/roles and honestly they kill it.

We got Adam Scott (Step Brothers, Parks and Recreation), Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood, The Legend of Tarzan) and James Tupper to name a few.

And then there's the women.

HBO

Who, honestly, are some of the biggest names in Hollywood. And their performances reflect it.

We've got Reese Witherspoon, you've got Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley is there too. Not to mention Zoë Kravitz and Laura Dern.

They're each amazing in their own way.

HBO

These women who are trapped in something way beyond their control, the way they react, the way it affects all their small town lives is, simply put, breathtaking.

One of HBO's finest.

Wait, I forgot someone...

HBO

Oh right, she's an easy person to forget.

A small name, not even close to household, been in a couple of indie projects here and there. Her name is... Lemme see here...

Meryl Streep?

HBO

Yeah, she joined the cast for Season 2.

The more I read about her, the more I'm surprised more people don't know who she is. I mean, apparently, she's won a couple of these things called "Academy Awards".

Wait...

HBO

Oh, nevermind, I'm seeing here that Meryl Streep is one of the most celebrated actresses of all time and possibly the best of our generation.

Psh, how silly of me!

So who does she play?

HBO

Well, she's the mother of Perry (Alexander Skarsgård), Celeste's (Nicole Kidman) dead husband.

And honestly, her inclusion could spell disaster for the women of Monterey, California.

First off, she's inquisitive.

HBO

She wants the truth about her son's death and will stop at nothing to get it. As every good mother should.

She also knows the women are lying to her, which is dangerous for them. Hell hath no fury and so forth.

So what does this have to do with anything?

HBO

Well, there's an interesting thing about Meryl Streep's character that you should know.

Something that only an actress of Meryl's caliber would think to do and this shows her commitment to any role she obtains.

Look at her teeth.

HBO

I know what you're thinking and no, I haven't gone totally and completely insane... yet.

However, in my moments of lucidity, I managed to see a correlation between Meryl Streep's character's mouth...

And this was all her idea, too.

HBO

In an article reported by Cosmo she reportedly reached out to the fake teeth guy herself in order to get a new set of chompers for the role.

Good for you, Meryl!

They're fake teeth.

HBO

I mean, duh. Page Six reported this, and it's for the reason you might've already thought of (because I told you).

It was to look more like her fictional son.

And her son's.

HBO

See that? They're almost identical! Apparently, that upper jaw runs in the family.

You might be thinking (once again) that I'm insane, but you have to admit there's a resemblance!

Check them out side by side.

HBO

See! Come on, don't play me and say you don't see how similar the two of them look! So... what?

Did they just choose Meryl Streep because of her upper jaw's uncanny resemblance to that of Alexander Skarsgård's?
