Everyone Is Loving This Sikh Man's Rainbow Turban For Pride

A Sikh man's turban just went viral for all the right reasons and I'm 100 percent here for it!

Meet Jiwandeep Kohli.

He's an Amateur Pastry Chef & Photographer from San Diego, California who once competed on The Great American Baking Show.

Oh yeah, and he's also a freaking Neuroscientist! How's that for being a multi-hyphenate?

Kohli is also a Sikh and wears a turban on his head.

Sikh or Sikhism is a monotheistic religion that is most commonly practiced by Indian from the state of Punjab.

Part of their faith includes wearing a turban or dastar to keep their hair covered.

The main goal of Sikhism is to teach other not to have hate or animosity towards anyone or anything.

However, there have been mixed messages when it comes to homosexuality.

Some of the older and more conservative Sikhs have condemned homosexuality and same-sex marriages.

The new and younger generation of Sikhs, on the other hand, see nothing wrong with it.

Kholi is one of them, and he decided to show off his pride in a fun and unique way.

Rather than just wearing a rainbow-printed shirt (which is still cool btw), Kholi made a proud statement with a rainbow turban.

"I’m proud to be a bisexual bearded baking brain scientist.," he tweeted alongside his selfie. "I feel fortunate to be able to express all these aspects of my identity, and will continue to work toward ensuring the same freedom for others."

Even former-president Barack Obama was a fan.

"You've got a lot to be proud of, Jiwandeep. Thanks for everything you do to make this country a little more equal. Turban looks great, by the way. Happy Pride Month, everybody!" Obama tweeted.

People were also super impressed by his turban wrapping skills.

FYI, turbans are not easy to wrap so naturally people were trying to figure out how he got the perfect rainbow look.

One person tweeted Kohli and asked, "I so love your turban! Is it all one piece? Or do you have a cheeky way of adding the rainbow colors? If the former, that is some seriously skilled tying going on there!"

Kolhi responded and said, "thank you! It’s sort of both. One of my normal black turbans that I supplemented with strips of other colors in exactly the right places. Took about an hour of tying, untying, and safety pinning, but totally worth it!"

I totally agree!
