Krispy Kreme's 'Conversation Doughnuts' Are About To Make Valentine's Day Even Sweeter

Growing up, it was always nice to receive Valentines from everybody when that day rolled around. A lot of us weren't trying to be romantic, which is good because my set of Small Soldiers cards probably wasn't doing that job anyway.

But considering how nasty kids can be to each other, it was refreshing to set aside a day where we just wrote nice things to each other.

But while those cards always had little treats attached, they'd have to work pretty hard to compete with what Krispy Kreme just came up with.

Valentine's Day never really felt complete without these little candy hearts.

Whether we were looking over what sentiments our friends had carefully picked out for us or we were just trying to figure out what the one with the cut-off E even said, it was nice to know we were in their thoughts.

But of course, there was always everyone's least favorite part of Valentine's Day, actually trying to eat them.

Even being single on the 14th can be more pleasant than the chalky experience of putting a heart that said, "Be mine" in your mouth.

Somebody at Krispy Kreme apparently agreed because it looks like their new Conversation Donuts are trying to improve on the concept.

We've got some clssic phrases mixed with more modern fare like "DM me" and "So Extra," but with actually delicious donuts this time.

None of them should taste like they're filled with toothpaste, but it's still best to avoid the pitfalls of another classic Valentine's gift.

For instance, note the pink frosting on this particularly sweet heart.

Apparently, that one's filling is best described as "strawberries and Kreme," which makes it sound like it pairs well with a romantic game of Mortal Kombat.

This "Crazy 4 U" doughnut, along with any other purple ones, has a raspberry filling.

If fruit flavors don't belong in your go-to doughnuts, however, there's no need to worry because there are a couple more to pick from.

Once you know what's in this yellow one, you might want to follow its advice.

That's because this one is apparently filled with cake batter, so it's like you're getting two different baked goods at once.

If it feels like I'm missing an obvious favorite, that's because I'm trying to save my favorite for last.

For me, not even the most colorful of sprinkles can compete with a delectably chocolaty doughnut, and that's exactly what's in this apparently platonic "BFF" one.

Now that you know what's in them, you might like to know that the doughnuts are available from now until Valentine's day.
