Pork Wings Are Here Just In Time For The Super Bowl

Chicken wings and the Super Bowl are one of the great food pairings of our time. They're up there with macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, and fries and ketchup.

This new snack might just disrupt that perfect union.

Pork "wings" are now a thing (a meaty, saucy, thing might I add). They've landed just in time for the Super Bowl and could replace your traditional chicken wings.

First off, pigs don't have wings and can't fly.

We just wanted to clear that up before we went any further.

Pork wings are actually made from pork shanks, a cut from the leg. Now that you know the secret behind where the "wings" come from, we can continue.

Here's what you really need to know: pork wings are bigger and cheaper than regular chicken wings.

More meat for less money? I'm in!

Pork wings do have a bone, but the meat falls off easily. Easily into your mouth that is.

You can also toss them in your favorite sauce.

Buffalo, honey garlic, garlic-parm — the options are endless when it comes to these tasty little nuggets of heaven.

Or if you crave expert seasoning, dry-rubbed pork wings are an option, too.

Sometimes you can't go wrong with a little salt, a little pepper, and a little spice. Where can I get some of these ASAP?

If you want a boneless option, you can try making wings from pork chops and securing them with a wooden skewer.

These are ridiculously easy to make and you only need a few ingredients. You could even stock up on game day and still have time to make them before the kick-off.

And yes, bacon-wrapped pork wings also exist.

Because who doesn't want more bacon in their life? I could go on but my mouth is watering and I'm getting drool on my keyboard.

They'll also pair well with all your other Super Bowl snacks.

Serve up pork wings alongside nachos, pizza, and your favorite beer. This looks like the snack spread from my dreams.

So will you be serving up pork wings at your Super Bowl party this year?

Not gonna lie, I'm a little bummed that pigs still can't fly but these wings should make up for it.
