When the sales tag on her dress was just barely visible, people still called her out for it, almost immediately.
And it's not while she's running errands, either. Her heels didn't fit properly during her engagement announcement.
I say that as if Meghan "runs errands" anymore.
It's not something that's blatantly obvious unless you zoom right in on her feet, which is kind of a weird thing to do, I'm aware.
Now, I don't wear heels all that often, but I know that if they don't fit properly, it can increase your chance of tripping or spraining your ankle, right?
Dr. Suzanne Levine, a podiatrist at the Institut Beauté in New York City, opened up to TODAY about why Meghan opts for the larger sized heels.
That makes a lot of sense. When you're a royal, you can't run around with scabby, blistery feet like us peasants do.
And it's not like she can run to the washroom and change into a comfy pair of flats midway through an event.
She's a royal, there are protocols!
“She may also have a size discrimination between both feet, that they’re both not the same size, so she’s going up to the larger one,” Dr. Levine explained.
If you need extra space, make sure that it's only half a size up, not a full size. Protect those feet, and embrace the blisters!
