Good news! A release date has been announced for Frozen 2. Bad news: the release date is November 22, 2019, more than a year from now. Here's what we know so far.

The sequel was originally set for Nov. 27, but the date was moved up to Nov. 22, falling on Thanksgiving Weekend. But we haven't even gotten through this holiday season, and now we have to wait a whole year more?

New additions to the voice cast

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck will return to direct the film. Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld) and Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us) are due to star in the movie as well.

Olaf spilled the beans back in April

In April, actor Josh Gad, who voices Olaf, posted a video to Twitter, just to toy with us about how he goes to work (he makes it clear he does not work in his pajamas.) “Please keep this secret. I’m not supposed to share anything about a movie called #Frozen2.” So we'll hear our beloved Olaf in the sequel just as in the original.

Frozen's anthem, "Let It Go," is a huge blockbuster of a Disney tune. The music and lyrics were written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, while the actress and singer Idina Menzel performs the vocals. Many Disney movies have that signature song -- Little Mermaid, Moana, Peter Pan, take your pick. What will it be for the sequel?
