Garth Brooks Says He Is Praying 'A Lot' For His Daughter Who Had Coronavirus

One of the scariest things about the coronavirus pandemic is that there is so much we don't know about the virus and the long term effects it can have on the people who catch it. Garth Brooks has revealed he is facing that fear with one of his daughters in a press conference recently.

Information about the coronavirus pandemic is rapidly changing and Diply is committed to providing the most recent data as it becomes available. Some of the information in this story may have changed since publication, and we encourage readers to use online resources from CDC and WHO to stay up to date on the latest information surrounding COVID-19.

Garth Brooks is well known for being a family man.

Garth has three daughters, Allie, 24, August, 26, and Taylor, 28, shared with his ex-wife Sandy Mahl. Not only is he close with his daughters, but his youngest's husband even works in his camp and the two see each other almost every day.

Fans became concerned when, on July 7th, a virtual concert was postponed when Garth and his camp had "possibly been exposed" to the virus.

“Out of an abundance of caution, Garth Brooks is moving his and Trisha Yearwood’s July 7th Facebook concert to a later date and postponing Inside Studio G for 2 weeks,” read a statement on Garth's Facebook page. “While Garth and Trisha are fine, the Garth/Trisha camp has possibly been exposed to the Covid-19 virus.”

In a new press conference, Garth reveals this was done because his daughter, Allie, tested positive for COVID-19.

Garth revealed that he's concerned about the future long-term effects of the virus. “As a parent, nobody knows what COVID is going to do in the future, so you just watch over them,” he said, adding, “You pray a lot and hopefully she will come out of this thing with just that.”

Garth said that Allie's only symptoms were a sore throat, and she has since seemingly recovered.

“As parents like you, like me, all you do is pray your knee bones off and hopefully following the guidelines so hopefully your family doesn’t have to experience this,” Garth explained.

We're glad to hear that everyone is doing well now!
